This project aims to create a residence suitable for senior retirement and for three generations to live together. Based on the principles of humanistic value, durability, and excellent quality, Blessed Inheritance goes beyond mere functionality to foster a sense of coziness and love while strengthening the bonds between family members.
Morandi colors such as ash grey, bluish grey, and warm grey are used as the main tones throughout the house, creating visual stability and harmony. The choice of colors allows the space to exude a tranquil quality, providing a serene environment for all residents.
The lounge area features dual-colored flooring, while the corridor is adorned with elegant marble tiles. The sofa area, on the other hand, boasts solid wood flooring, offering not only a comfortable and eco-friendly option but also temperature-regulating properties. This eliminates the need for carpets in the summer and solves the issue of dust mite allergies that many people face.
With a property size of 337 square meters, Blessed Inheritance offers ample space for each family member to have their own privacy while still fostering a sense of togetherness. The design team values spatial completeness, extending the marble tiles from the corridor all the way to the television wall, creating a visually expansive effect.
The usage spaces for the father and son are independently separated by titanium doors. The son's space includes an additional multi-functional room, cleverly concealed behind a marble wall. This cutting-edge approach adds a touch of intrigue and versatility to the design.
Completed in March 2019 in Taichung City, Blessed Inheritance is a testament to the seamless integration of nature and art in architectural design. Inspired by the words of Lin Yutang, the design team aimed to create a space where the boundaries between nature and art blur, immersing residents in a harmonious and captivating environment.
The design of Blessed Inheritance presented several challenges that were skillfully overcome. The use of solid wood flooring and marble tiles created a sense of layers within the space, while the grey-colored sofa and large windows allowed natural light to flood in, creating a refreshingly comfortable atmosphere. The careful selection and application of materials sculpted the spatial texture, resulting in a tranquil yet resplendent mansion-like ambiance.
Blessed Inheritance has been recognized for its exceptional design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding ingenuity and authenticity, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. Blessed Inheritance not only exhibits strong technical and creative skills but also contributes to improving the quality of life, making the world a better place.
